5 Powerful Reasons a Business Logo Can Unlock Your Success

In this guide, you’ll learn the most important reasons all businesses must have a professional logo. Business logo design is an absolute must!

Let’s jump right in…

1. A business logo demands attention

In an ever-changing world where social media rules over traditional communication, our ability to consume, process, and file away information has become a commodity. Unlike in the days where the owner of a fresh fruits store would stand on a busy street corner yelling, “FRESH FRUIT. BEST QUALITY. BEST PRICES. GET YOURS HERE!” that job has become part of the responsibilities of your business logo. It should demand the attention of the mindless scrolling zombies all over the internet, and if your logo can stop these users in their tracks for a few seconds, you’re on your way to success.

2. It makes a strong first impression

When was the last time you personally walked up to a gorgeous stranger, put on the charm, and walked away with their contact details? Well, if you’re anything like me, I don’t think I’ve ever had the confidence or the game to pull that off. Your business logo, however, has the ability to be that insanely, charming, confident, client-grabbing machine. Whether we like it or not, first impressions count and have a lasting effect, especially when it’s not a pleasant one.

Let your well-designed business logo help give any new prospects an amazing first impression.

Some logos that make a strong first impression for me are listed below. Perhaps they can inspire you in your search for your logo.

3. It separates you remarkably from the competition

Having your business name in a fancy font doesn’t cut it nowadays assuming you want to be successful and smash your competition. One of the reasons that we as business owners have entered the realm of self-employment is to stamp our mark on the world. Like a graffiti artist, we tag our art (services and products) because we are proud and want others to know it was our business.

In the above example, the tag is replaced with a business logo. A well-designed logo communicates everything about your business — from what industry you service to your values and morals. These are the things that will make you stand out from your competition.

Mexican food is one of the most popular cuisines in the world. It is loved by millions of people and inspired thousands of entrepreneurs to open Tex-Mex style restaurants. Unfortunately, many fall into the trap of having the clichéd image of a man with a long moustache wearing a sombrero in their logo. Boring! Stand out from all your competition by doing something different. An example of this is the logo for The Taco Spot.

4. It creates brand loyalty

Once your clients and customers have collaborated with you and experienced your mind-blowing services and offers, they’ll have attached your logo with those experiences. This will ultimately create incredible brand loyalty that will serve you well into the future. Your logo becomes a subconscious trigger for consumers so much that customers will end up searching for it. When your logo is associated with positive emotions and experiences, it will draw in people like a moth to a flame.

A great example of a logo creating brand loyalty is Adidas. The simplicity of the 3 stripes is iconic with the brand. When we see the 3 stripes and the name, we automatically know in our subconscious that it’s a trusted brand with high quality products. Some consumers will seek out a brand like this every time they go shopping for clothing. Nothing is questioned by the consumer — not even the price. If that’s not brand loyalty, then I don’t know what is.

5. It’s proven to make your business look more professional

As previously discussed, first impressions can make or break your business. Humans are unbelievably visual creatures. We also have this amazing ability to take in information, create thoughts, and formulate opinions. These incredible abilities unfortunately have a downside, and we can be overly judgements upon our initial impression.

Fortunately as a business owner, we can use this to our advantage. Potential clients and customers automatically believe a business is more reliable and professional when they see a logo. By designing a great logo, we can then influence how people see and interact with our business. We can make the world out there believe that we are the capable, talented, successful professionals that we are. A solid logo unlocks a sense of trust without a client ever seeing your team or talking to you. It speaks volumes about you before you ever introduce yourself.
